Research to the Rescue
This certainly is a step forward in the right direction! Plus... now we know where some of our tax money ends up at, haha.
"Researchers funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Arthritis Foundation, the Cancer Research Institute and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, report that they have discovered the molecular roots of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. A "T helper" cell is the culprit for initiating chronic inflammation and autoimmunity in a variety of body tissues such as asthma, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis (MS). They say their findings may point to ways to effectively treat these diseases - if not stop them before they start. "Read more... Even though it still may take years before a cure is found, it is good to know that at least the next generation may not have to suffer from these diseases anymore.
