In Times of Loss
My father died when I was not even two years old, so I don't have any memories of him. What I do remember is, my mother and I going to the cemetery, at least once a month, to clean it up, plant flowers and at times wash the headstone.
The cemetery had a care taker, but he only saw to the graves when he got paid by families of the diseased, to do so. My mom couldn't afford it. Times were tough enough on her as it was.
