A Perfect Vision Again
I don't like wearing my glasses. Somehow, they annoying me, even though I can read a whole lot better with them. Contacts are definitely not something I would consider. Just the thought of having to put something in my eyes each days, grosses me out to no end.
I have been thinking about a vision correction procedure. A friend of ours had it done and has a 20/20 vision again immediatley after the surgery. She told us it was practically painless and she had no complications at all. Complications and risks are less then 1%. This affirms it's safety and success, which was also confirmed recently in a FDA panel meeting.
To qualify for such surgery, my corneas should not be thin, or irregularly shaped. That would show up on the results of an examination. The 3-D mapping, customized wave-front measurements of my eyes and an examination of my corneas will indicate, wether I would fall in the 20-25% category of ineligible people.
I could ask our friend for recommendations and read up on
LASIK information. By doing some research, it shouldn't be difficult to find a good physician.
If even a world-renowned ophthalmologist and surgeon like Dr. Kerry D. Solomon, M.D. stands behind the safety and results of the LASIK technology, and 95.4 % of the patients are happy with the results, then that is convincing enough for me.
