Make Online Shopping Fun And Safe

I see so many things online I would love to buy, but I am rather adament about using a credit card for payment. When I do, stealing identity is made so much easier for those with bad intentions, and I do not like the idea that I could be the next victim.

With Shop Shield®, I can make secure payments online, without the fear of having my identity stolen. My personal and financial information is not being revealed ever, to the sites I pay at. Personal information, credit card numbers, bank accounts, billing address, e-mail address and login information are all protected and secured against theft and misuse.

Hackers, and those with access to web site data bases, can not get my information, because it is never entered into the web site's data base. My real personal information is being replaced when I shop or register at a site online. I actually become anonymous.

It is also extremely handy for unwanted incoming mails. Shop Shield® automatically scans it for viruses and phishing, before forwarding it to me. In case I rather not receive the e-mails, no problem. I get an anonymous, disposable e-mail address for each web site that I register at.

I have a suspicion I am going to enjoy my online-shopping!

Critter's Cooings Part VII

Hey there!
Long overdue, I know, but I have been so busy with growing and exploring and discovering, I didn't get around to it. Oma finally sat me down and told me to put my little fingers where my mouth is ( yeah, I talk my little head off, hehe).

So here is me, little Leo. Nice to meet y'all, finally. grin.

Today, I am exactly 5 months old. I am always in a good mood, laugh and smile and love to talk. As far as you can call it talking, haha. I put my entire little body in squeaking out coos. Apparently that's funny, cause they all laugh when I do. I almost am rolling myself over, but I haven't mastered that too well, yet.

Oma thinks I am a smart little critter as well. I can sit there and observe her face so seriously, like I have never seen anything so weird before. Well Oma... I haven't, hahaha.

She tries to teach me to stick out my tongue and blow raspberries.

As you can see, I have the sticking-out-my-tongue part down. :-D

I love watching my big brother and wish I could get up and run with him. I am trying to stand, which goes well as long as someone holds me up. :-) My little leggies are getting stronger each day and have filled out well. Oma has got 4 chunkies to pinch now, and she takes every opportunity she gets, to do so.

I have to tell you, my big bro is so sweet to me. He brings me blankets when he thinks I am cold. When I cry, which is only when I am hungry and want my bottle ( and when I want it, I want it NOW, hehe), Casey brings me the bottle or my pacifier. He caresses my little head and tries to give me toys as well. Ain't he sweet?!

He got to play with some balloons at my Mom's birthday and found out, they would pop when he bit them. Scared him more then it did me, hehe. Although, he ain't afraid of anything!

He just picked up the pieces, gave 'em to Oma and got another balloon to play with.

Speaking about my Mom, she is trying to get a bit of extra income. She is an Avon-representative now. If you would, go visit her at. Her link is in the side-bar under April's Avon. If you think it's only for women, you are so wrong! They have men's stuff as well and even purses and clothes and I don't know what else. She would be pleased to see y'all. :-)

Sorry, I just had to sneak that in, hehe.

Wow, it took me a while to get all this on paper. My little hands are not entirely coordinated yet. I can hold my bottle though and even stick my pacifier in my mouth. Guess what, it doesn't work that well trying to stick it in backwards. But I am getting better with steering my hands. Practice makes perfect, huh?! :-D

It was fun talking to y'all and I promise, I won't wait another five months to come back here. :-)

New Found Freedom And Love For Nature

The first time grandson Casey was running around in the yard, he had a ball. He went all the way to the back of it, and looked at all the shrubs, which branches are sticking through the fence. A good thing that our yard is entirely fenced in.

I walk with him to make sure he won't encounter any unwanted critters. Where our yard ends, woods start, and it has occurred several times, that snakes crawled from the woods into our grass. So far, they all have been non-poisonous snakes, but you never know. Safety first!

Casey is a curious little man. He examined the shrubs and pulled leaves off of them, looking at them and then showing me. He discovered the branches over his head, which he couldn't reach. No problem. He picked up a stick he found, laying in front of his little feet and without any hesitation, he looked up and started hitting the branches with the stick. I thought that was quite smart for a 16 month old.

Our Crate Myrtle in the yard is in full bloom now. A couple of days ago Casey, running around the yard again, stopped right in front of it and looked at it's flowers. The branches almost reach the ground, so it was easy for him to pick off some of the tiny blooms. He was fascinated with them.

I broke off a large flower and handed it to him. He headed towards his Mom, to show her, happy as a lark. By the time he got there, practically all the little flowers were gone. In his enthousiasm, he had been wiggling and shaking it around so hard, the blooms, except a few, had fallen off. That didn't diminish the fun.

It's quite obvious he loves his new found freedom and nature and 'yours truly' will exploit the last to the fullest and teach and show him all she can. Nature is one of  God's wonderful gifts to enjoy and I hope to encourage Casey's love for it, amongst other things. :-)

To Be Secure, Insure

Summer is the worst time for us. We live on the Gulf and always have to be prepared for hurricanes during this time of year. Hurricane-season started about a month ago and so far, so good. Let's hope it will remain that way!

As you know, those bad storms have taken their toll on many. We still see lots of people living in trailers, because they didn't have any home insurance and can't afford to rebuild the home they lost.

For a quick, simple and affordable home insurance,  HomeInsurance.com does the search for you. Be safe not sorry, be secured and insured with HomeInsurance.com!

Dirty Little Hands

Little Casey, our oldest grandson (well, old.... he is only 16 months now), is such a cute little critter. Smart too. Yeah, I know, all grandparents say that about their grandbabies, haha.

A while back we all were sitting on the back porch and lil Casey was trotting around on the patio. He refused to go on the grass, although it seemed to intrigue him. He would sit down at the edge of the patio and pull at the grass, studying at it.

His mom said, he probably didn't want to go on the grass, because he didn't like to get dirt on his little hands. Huh??? What??? Our grandson not want to get dirty? Not on my watch, haha. He needs to explore and if that means getting dirty, no problem. A bath and washing machine will take care of that.

I lifted him up and set him on the grass, encouraging him to walk around. He was barefooted and looked at his feet, took a few steps, seemed to like it and ... took off, running through the yard. Ever since then, the first thing he does when he gets here, is walk to the backdoor and tries to open it, because he wants to go outside.

And no, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. :-)

Pimp My Babies

Little grandsons are growing, but I love seeing them in their Tiny Tiny Clothing. Leo was about a month too early and it was difficult to find preemie baby clothes. Lots of newborn baby clothes, and other baby boy clothes though.

With tinytinyclothing.com we wouldn't have had that problem. They have a wide range of unique and custom baby clothes and tiedyebabyclothes.net has lovely hand-dyed Tie Dye Baby Clothes in rich, beautiful colors and designs. I have no doubt you will find everything, for each baby-stage.

I know me and my daughter are going to enjoy browsing through these unique, designer baby clothes for the boys. It's high quality for a cool looking baby!

Cooings, Smiles and Dimples

Our grand babies were over yesterday evening and I am always amazed how fast they grow, even when it has been only a couple of days ago since we saw them.

Leo is almost 5 months old now and about to roll over. The little guy is constantly in a good mood, except when he is hungry. But even then he throws in smiles, while he is whaling for his bottle until it's ready. Yup, every second he has to wait for it, is one too long.

His little hands are getting more coordinated. They start to go where he wants them to and he is already able to hold his bottle and stick his pacifier in his mouth. That last is not always working out well, since he tries to stuff it in his little mouth backwards, at times.

He is talking up a storm, in his own little language and puts his entire body in letting out one of his cute cooings. He has got the cutest little dimples in his cheeks when he smiles and the smiles almost literally go from ear to ear.

I know, pictures are in order here, haha. They are in the makings and will follow soon!

Indian Francincense Supplement

This plant can only be bought in nurseries, since it is a native plant from India, where it has been used for a long time now, to treat many illnesses and conditions and a wide variety of inflammation and joint related problems.

It seems to give the same level of relief from pain and inflammation as over the counter remedies and prescription drugs, but without the side effects those medications can bring.upsetting the stomach, like the previous ones can do.

Boswellia has also been used to treat chronic back pain, for relief to many osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis pain, and sometimes intestinal problems as well.

Indian Frankincense
(Frankincense, Boswellia, Boswellin, Salai Guggal) Boswellia serrata

Origin:
Gum resin from the bark of the Boswellia tree found in India.

Dosage:
Capsule or pill; typically 300 mg to 400 mg three times per day. Look for products with 60-percent boswellic acids, the active ingredient.

Claims:
Reduces inflammation and treats RA, OA and bursitis symptoms. Indian frankincense may treat symptoms of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

What we know:
May have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties but evidence is limited and effects are inconsistent.

Studies:
In a 2004 study, Indian frankincense was tested as a treatment for knee OA. Researchers recruited 30 people with knee OA and gave half the group a daily supplement containing 333 mg of Indian frankincense; others got placebo. People who took Indian frankincense reported less knee pain, better mobility and an ability to walk longer distances than those taking placebo.

~Arthritis Foundation.

Boswellia is available in pills, capsules, tablets, and a number of topical creams that can be applied directly to the affected area.

Another Vacation Destination

Atlanta is a very beautiful and vibrant city and I would love to go back and visit it again sometime soon. There are all kind of things to do in Atlanta, so we may want to spend several days there, to visit all the attractions.

One thing I am looking forward to, is driving up to the city. Right before you enter Atlanta, there is this beautiful golden dome popping up in the sky-line between all the other majestic buildings. It captures your attention and leaves you with an impression you will not likely forget. For me that was one of the memorable moments of my Atlanta-visit.

I have been to the Dutch Madame Tussauds museum, but I would like to visit the American version. Since Trusted Tours & Attractions offers discounted tickets to the best sightseeing tours in 23 cities across America, I may want to browse through their online travel guide and find a city where there is one located. That would make for another nice vacation destination.

Are you still looking for a place to spend your vacation? Sign up for the Trusted Travels eNewsletter and enter to win a handheld GPS. Be quick, this offer ends June 30th, 2008.

Borage Supplement

The borage plant is a native inhabitant of Northern America and Northern Europe, but the plant can easily be grown in gardens. It loves full sunshine and rich soil and can be sown throughout the year. If possible, shield it from wind, because it tends to fall over easily.

If grown in pots indoors, make sure to put it in the full sun and it will give you leaves throughout the entire winter.

For you garderners out there, Borage is an excellent companion plant for tomatoes, squash and strawberries. The plant actually improves the flavor of tomatoes growing nearby.

Borage Oil
Borago officinalis

Origin:
Oil from the seeds of the borage plant. Borage seed oil contains about 20 to 26 percent GLA.

Dosage:
Liquid and capsules; take 1,300 mg (oil) daily.
~Arthritis Foundation.

This tonic plant has some other medicinal effects as well. It is good for the adrenal glands and provides an invaluable support for a stressful lifestyle. Borage is rich in minerals, especially potassium and tea made with borage helps to reduce fevers and ease chest colds.
An infusion of borage acts as a galactogogue, promoting the production of milk in breastfeeding mothers.

Some other uses are:
Borage makes an excellent facial steam for improving very dry, sensitive skin and consider adding the dried flowers for color to potpourri.

The taste of the leaves comes close to cucumber and the flowers and leaves lend themselves excellent to garnish salads. dips, and cucumber soups.
The chopped leaves can be added to soups and stews during the last few minutes of cooking and leaves can be cooked with cabbage leaves as well.

It does not lend itself well to be dried, it may not yield the results you are looking for. No one will prevent you from trying though. :-)

Who Are You?

Even though it may still seem too far away to think about, Halloween is closer then you may be aware of. It's there before you know it and if you want to get your hands on the halloween costumes of your choice, you better not wait too long.

I know our daughter had a hard time finding a costume last year, simply because she waited too long to get one. They were almost all sold out and she had to go with what was left. That will not happen this year, with this great halloween costume site.

It's incredible how many costumes there are to choose from. There is one for everybody. I would love to be Davey Jones from the Pirates of the Caribbean. That mask is so awesome and looks pretty weird. I suppose it would suit me nicely, since I am a weird person.

There are many more Movie Costumes, for children and adults. That is not the only genre you can have your choice in. Holiday costumes, Super Hero costumes and even pet costumes are available.

Of course you can always create your own character with wigs, make-up and accessories. Nope, we will not freak out this Halloween!

Nursing Good Habits

I have heard that it takes 17 days of making yourself do the same thing the same way before it becomes a habit.

I suppose that pertains to adopting a good habit. Something we know we need to do or learn and have to actually put some effort into, which we obviously don't like to do. Why do I suspect that? Well....have you noticed how quick bad habits are developed and taken on?!

I got in a good routine and habit, and then let it go for what seemed more pressing matters. Once that's done, it is so easy to find a justification for nursing a bad habit. Now I have to work even harder to get back on the good one. But I will. It's well worth it.

Quick Connection

Our daughter started a business and since it would be more lucrative if she could be online as well, she decided it was time for them to get an Internet connection.

Normally it would be a lot of a hassle to find the right one, but with Qwest we know she will be set up nicely. Very nicely indeed, because they ranked the highest among Internet providers and the experiences and perceptions of their consumers are nothing but praise.

We will have to look into which Qwest DSL Service plan would work best for her, in terms of what she would need. There are several plans at different prices available and none of them are expensive, so we might as well opt for the fastest connection. By signing up now, we would even receive a $75 award card. Every bit helps, huh?!

I will be glad when they have their own Internet connection. With their own reliable Qwest Communications, it will save them the gas money to come over to use our Internet connection. It will also save me the aggravation and frustration to have to leave the computer, since my work is on there.

Sounds like Qwest will save us more then just money.

Making A Buck

I have done some stock trading in the past, but it requires a lot of time and investigation, before you can even start to think about buying and selling. Going through the newspaper and keeping up through any media available during the day, is very intense and hard work.

The same goes for e-mini trading and S&P 500 trading. It is not something to take lightly. You would like to be successful and make money, not loose it. I know for me, it would have helped tremendously if I had an expert teaching me the trait of the trade. His tips, tricks and advice would have been very welcome.

Trading is not for everyone, but should you be interested then you need to set clear goals and be realistic. Don't let yourself be fooled by all those dollar signs, remember it is a serious business that you need to learn.

Fortunately for you, there is a professional, who is more then willing to help you get started by sharing his expertise and experiences. He offers a free e-mini trading course demo and when you decide this is something you want to do, he will be there right by your side with live one-on-one training and unlimited life phone and e-mail consultations.

That should make you a buck or two. Actually, I think it will make you a lot more then two! :-)

Best Of Friends

I started this blog to share my RA experiences hoping it would encourage others who have it as well, or some other form of arthritis. And I realized how blessed I am.

I am the one who is getting what I wanted to give. I found so much support and encouragement, care and love, it warms my heart. A wonderful group of "blogger-buddies", found each other. And the group is steadily growing. I am so privileged, honored, humbled and thankful to be part of this community.

May God bless y'all as much as He blessed me with all of you.

All Dressed Up

When both of our girls got married, we made the wedding dresses ourselves. Nothing fancy, it was the material that made the dress, not the design. We had to come up with something quick, because there just was not enough time to shop for Bridal Dresses.

Too bad, and I wished we had known way in advance, so we could have browsed through all those beautiful designer Bridal Dresses and pick one that suited them to a tee. It could well have been, they would have gotten a free veil and shoes to go with it. Now, we had to rig up a veil for one and the other daughter wasted a lot of time she didn't have, on trying to find shoes to go with her dress.

The reason for these contemplations were brought up by the site I was looking at, with the best prices for Bridal Dresses online. This established online store has over 4000 designer dresses to choose from. But also brides-maid dresses, shoes, veils, wedding accessories, and even prom dresses.

Even though both weddings were beautiful and turned out well, I wished we would have had more time to make it both beautiful and perfect.

I guess that's the way all Moms feel, huh?!

Don't Settle, Sell

Several years ago, our youngest daughter got involved in a car accident and broke her leg in several places. She was eligible for a settlement and had to wait a few years before she was able to get the money, since she was not old enough yet.

She was blessed to get the cash for settlement, all at once. Often in similar situations, a structured settlement is given. Nice, but it does not really help out with paying all those medical bills and whatever other cash you may need at the moment.

At that point, a buyer of structured settlements would be of great benefit. One that is in good standing of the Better Business Bureau's online reliability program, who follows the court orders and state laws, and offers several options and the best price guarantee.

It is easy to get cash for annuities, if you are in dire straits. An annuity quote can even be obtained online. Unlike many others, these settlement purchasers even advise you to confer with your lawyer, before selling your annuity.

Not only will you be given a free quote, but in case you decide to take the offer, they will walk you through the entire process.

You don't have to settle anymore for the restrictions of your structured settlement!

Some Extra Gas-Money

I don't quite understand why some people go out of their wits to find the best deal on a good car, but not on a good car insurance. They just accept the first quote they get, as if every insurance company would charge them the same.

That is not true though. Every auto insurance company has different standards they base their price on. Why not fill out a free form online and get matched with several car insurance agents in your area?

You would do well to shop around and not go along with the first offer. With several offers, you can do a comparison and get a cheap car insurance. It never hurts to inquire and you are under no obligation.

That is not entirely true. You are under an obligation. The obligation to save yourself a bunch of money in the least amount of time.

Imagine how much gas you could buy for that!

Black Current Oil

Black current oil is a tremendous source of essential fatty acids. Adding this natural supplement to your daily routine is an excellent way to maintain great health. By keeping your body free of irritants and fats that are not very healthy for you to consume.

This oil contains essential fatty acids, which are precursors of prostaglandins, which must be present for functions involved with blood vessels, maintaining arterial pressure already within the normal range, metabolizing dietary cholesterol, activating T-lymphocytes, protecting against platelet aggregation and other functions.

It is also said to be an excellent acne treatment, but I also read that too much of it could cause Arthritis flare-ups.

"Black Currant Oil
Ribes nigrum;

Origin:
Black currant seed oil is obtained from seeds of the black currant. Black currant seed oil contains 15 to 20 percent gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Do not confuse with black currant berry.

Dosage:
Liquid and capsules; typical dosage ranges from 360 mg to 3,000 mg daily.

Black currant oil may increase immune response in elderly."

~Arthritis Foundation.

As mentioned in the article, don't confuse it with the the berry. It is oil from the seeds that is used for the remedy. And I will say it again and keep saying it, untill I am blue in the face from repeating it (or maybe it is from the black current berries, because I love them!): consult your health care provider.

Absolutely Calm

The competition is tough in this election race. The candidates must be wore out by now, mentally as well as emotionally and physically. You may think it is not all that nerve wrecking, but just see it as a sport. The tension building up before the performance, sleepless nights, anxious about the next day's event, or meeting. All this can influence an athlete's performance.

Well, don't you think the candidates are going through the same anxiety attacks? I believe they do. They might benefit by taking AbsoluteCalm. This dietary supplement helps to calm the mind and relax the body, without making them sleepy. It controls stress in a natural way and has no negative side-effects.

On the contrary, it aids in staying focused on the task at hand. It calms the mind and relaxes the body and also very important, neutralizes the unwanted cravings that might be induced by feeling stressed, like nervous eating, for instance.

It is extremely effective for all athletes, so that would include our candidates as well. Running an election-race is like running a marathon and they can use all the help they can get. Maybe the winning candidate might want to take it continually.

He has a whole country to run!
